Christina Lanier President


Christina Lanier is a graduate Economics student who has competed with UTD’s Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Mediation teams. She is currently a volunteer with the Fall 17/Spring 18 Moot Court team. Christina is interested in immigration law, which is the focus of her current internship. She teaches group exercise classes through UTD’s University Recreation Department. She is =interested in fitness, nature, and dogs. Christina wishes you a warm welcome!

Umul Lalee Vice-President (Fall 2018), Mock Trial/Mediation Team Member


Umul is a sophomore Political Science major currently interning at the International Rescue Committee. She hopes to soon begin another internship at a law firm to diversify her experiences. Her current interests lie within international and immigration law, the latter of which she intends to pursue as a career after law school. Umul wishes you a warm welcome!


Meerna Dalal Vice-President (Spring 2018), Mock Trial Team Member


Meerna Dalal is a senior International Political Economy major. Her passion for the legal field stems from her growing interest in advocacy, policy reform, and the U.S. judicial system. She is an active competitor on the UT Dallas Mock Trial Team but will be spending the fall of 2017 as a Bill Archer Fellow in Washington D.C. Neha Singh Public Relations, Moot Court Team Member

Neha is a senior Child Learning and Development major with minors in Creative Writing and Political Science. This summer, she is completing an internship with the Center forAmerican and International Law and as a Student Tour and Admissions Representative (STAR) on campus. She will also start as a Writing Tutor on campus this fall. Neha is a member of the Moot Court team directed by Ms. Anne Dutia. She is most passionate about creating and maintaining a sustainable environment, sexual assault prevention, and family psychology. Neha wishes you a warm welcome!


Najib Gazi Secretary/Treasurer, Mock Trial/Mediation Team Member


Najib is a senior Political Science major Over the summer, he is working downtown as an intern at the law firm, Dean Omar & Branham. He will be starting new roles as the captain of both a Mock Trial and Mediation team. He enjoys playing and watching a variety of sports, such as soccer, football, and basketball. Anne Dutia Pre-Law Director, Moot Court Coach


Anne Dutia has been a Pre-Law Advisor at UTD since 2006. In September 2015, she assumed her new role as Director of the Pre-Law Program.

Anne’s prior experience as an attorney, law school admissions officer and private admissions consultant allows her to help students decide if law school and a legal career is a good fit, decide which law schools would best serve their goals, and put together applications which maximize their chances of acceptance into law school. Anne is one of the few university-affiliated prelaw advisors in the country with actual law school admissions experience.  She also coaches the Moot Court team, which has had a strong record of success, both regionally and nationally. Anne serves on the Executive Boards of the Southwestern Association of Pre-Law Advisors and the American Collegiate Moot Court Association, and is currently a member of the Pre-Law Advisors National Council. | 972-883-6712 | FO 2.202C
